Deflated
"You had a bad day. The camera don't lie. You're coming back down and you really don't mind. You had a bad day. You had a bad day"
on monday i realized that i
1) forgot my work keys in Toronto.
on monday night, i
2) deflated my front bike tire trying to fill it with air. i couldn't get the hose to fit on my nozzle and it ended up pushing my nozzle inside my tire. I spent about an hour trying to fix it with my keys. As i walked home, i walked for a bit and realized i had forgotten the cap back at the gas station and had to walk back to get it. It was dumb cause if i had left it alone, it would have been fine; it was still completely rideable without more air.
later that night when i tried to fix it, i
3) realized that when i got home that walking my bike home had caused the nozzel/tube to travel almost directly across the hole in the rim. I also found out that nobody that i know in KW owns a bike pump! I spent about another half hour trying to fix my bike and my hands were so dirty. I was also sweaty and tired as well as i had just finished working out.
this morning, i
4) had to wake up extra early to walk to work and i was incredibly tired, nodding off here and there in the second day of my CT sim rotation. i think i may have even started to nod off while walking to work!
with this whole tire episode i,
5) understand some more which of my friends really care and show concern about me when things don't go right.
I think five is both good and bad :)
It was funny. I begged and pleaded with God to somehow help my biked get fixed. i was unhappy at why this was happening and let God know it. At the same time, i begged and pleaded for patience and understanding. Had a long running conversation with God on the walk home filled with muttering and sighing but also some thanks to keep myself in check.
Things worked out. bike was fixed for $5 today and i know even more who i can and can't rely on. Praise the Lord.
