Farewell Juniors

So it's been a long time coming but i've finally made a decision about softball this summer. Well that's not entirely true; i've finally made part of my decision about softball this summer.
Although i love teaching and training up kids, after having a conversation with Tim i don't believe i'm the right person at this point to go back to help lead this particular group of juniors. i know i haven't explained my decision in depth but If you want more clarification, i'd be happy to convserse about it with you. just msn me.
i guess for those who will carry the oracles namesake, its important for you to understand where you came from and what sort of values this team was built on. Hopefully, this team will continue to run on those principles.
Maybe i should work on an Oracles Guide to Softball Ministry and make John Lam read it before the O's go down the toilet and start doing 7-minute ,"spirit-filled", dance routine cheers regardless of the fact that 10 minutes are given to finish the last inning, that totally disrupt the flow of the game and place the "cheering" team as the focus of everyone's attention in order to win a MAT that should appropriately be called a "who can do the best hippie dance" award as that seems to be how the award is interpreted and voted upon in today's CCSA.
GG sentence.
ANYWAYS,
ANYWAYS,
Thanks for the memories O's. I'll miss it immensely.

Hey don't think that i dunno what it's like to cheer and be vulnerable and put in the time and effort to do that, I've been there and done that alrite?
I just see it as Bri put it a way to steal the MAT, theres other ways to show your a good team to play with besides dancing your way to the award.
Ok maybe i went overboard that it's not part of softball, but the putting on a whole show is just overboard in my books, lito cheers here and there okay.
Wow. i seem to have struck a nerve! sorry albert!
perhaps i can state how i feel without sarcasm and it wouldn't seem like i'm looking down on anyone.
i stand by my statement:
i think dance routines are a little too much when done at the wrong time. i think thats what matt was referring to when he wrote cheers in quotations --> dances. Cheers are fine with me. Heck, the O's do cheers! i also think that unfortunately it is at times like these that it is inconsiderate to do these dances when an ump gives a time warning to hurry up the game. i also believe that it is at times like these that it disrupts the flow of the game. i believe that this is how many teams vote for the MAT and if this is what they "appreciate", than so be it. i have no problem with that. I think that some teams have gotten the MAT mixed up however with who did the best dance. perhaps elaboration is needed.
So i don't believe it is about whether i respect different styles of ministry. its about timing. if the dance was done at the beginning of the game at introductions or at the end of the game during devo, i think that would be tolerable. I personally however would not vote a team MAT because they've choreographed an elaborate dance routine...in all seriousness.
May softball and the Love of Christ unite us all in this softball ministry!
